Meet Anna Your Vancouver Counsellor

Hi, I'm Anna (she/her)

I’m a Vancouver-based Registered Social Worker (RSW BSW) who loves the outdoors—whether it’s hiking, skiing, or paddling, I’m happiest when surrounded by nature. When I’m not in the backcountry, you’ll probably find me exploring new restaurants, painting, or attempting (but not quite mastering) pole dance. I share my home with my partner and my two cats, Felix and Leo, who like to keep me on my toes.

I believe in creating a warm, down-to-earth space for clients to explore their challenges and grow at their own pace.

Living and working in seven different countries has allowed me to realize how challenging life transition phases can be. As women, we often try to be "perfect," put everything and everyone first, but forget about who we really are and what it is we want from life.

I've learned that we need to take extra good care of ourselves, especially when experiencing demanding life circumstances, and that's why I am passionate about helping other women prioritize themselves.

I completed my Social Work training at Management Centre Innsbruck in Austria in 2009, where I am originally from and I am registered with the BC College of Social Workers, the ON College of Social Workers, and the AB College of Social Workers, institutions to support high standards, quality assurance, and ethical behaviour of Social Workers, and I am also registered with the BC Association of Social Workers. After working in different Social Work settings for more than ten years, I started my private practice in 2021.

I continuously educate myself and attend additional training, workshops, seminars and clinical supervision to ensure a high-quality standard in my work. 2022 I received my Certified Professional Coach (CPC) certification through an ICF accredited coach training program.

Your journey to living a life of joy, connection and meaning can start now!

My counseling practice offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for women from diverse backgrounds, including trans women and individuals identifying on the femme-spectrum of all cultures, sexual orientations, religions, disabilities, and ages.

I acknowledge that I work, live, and play on the traditional unceded lands of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
